United States Navy (USN) Sikorsky MH-60S Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 (HSC-25) 'Island Knights' Pops into Bundaberg Airport Twice as "Knightrider 01/07"

On Monday 7 August, United States Navy (USN) Sikorsky MH-60S Seahawk (Knighthawk) helicopter 168397 / RB-02, flown by the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 (HSC-25) "Island Knights", was spotted on the ground at Bundaberg Airport.

It is presently deployed and assigned with CVW-5 on board USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and is believed to have had earlier arrived from the ship at "Knightrider 01".  It is also reported that the "Island Knights" squadron is based at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.

After taking on fuel, 168397 / RB-02 departed for Brisbane.

It is believed that it returned to Bundaberg Airport and then the USS Bonhomme Richard later in the day but flying as 'VVRB 07' "Knightrider 07".

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Micah for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
